This bag is a "rice bag". I did three small panels of Sashiko and decided to incorporate them into this bag. The "rice bag" is something originating in Japan that the people used to take offerings to their temples. The bags were made of scrapes of fabric.
Also I have been doing baking. The top one is Chocolate Babka - a heavy swirled bread that has a ganache inside. the bottom one is a Chocolate Yule log. I made a cream cheese filling and ganache for the top. Both are YUMMY!
Decorated for the holidays, haven't done it for a few years, so this year decided to go for it!
Baskets made from strips of fabric (left over from quilting), rope, and twine with embellishments of beads and lichen.
