Dorset buttons

 Second new hobby: Dorset buttons. I saw a video on Quilting Arts TV show and then watched a few YouTube videos and think I am hooked! The first one I made is on the left. I fudged the outside by doing a single crochet around the ring. The second one I made, I did it as it is supposed to be made and the outside ring took a good 45 minutes. There are so many variations to these buttons, see below.

Felting

 I began a new hobby last month. Got a couple of kits to get some decent instructions. These are my first tries

I finished this pumpkin and gave him a handlebar mustache

Here's baby Yoda. He was fun to do, gave him to a friend who loves all things Star Wars.

Hummingbird

 We have a lot of hummingbirds coming to our feeder. This little Rufus perched on the columbine and stayed still long enough for me to get a photo.

Sunrise

 Sunrise from my back door 29 December 2020. The temperature was 28F 

Celtic

 I finished this quilt that had been sitting around for a few years. It was a round robin (but I took off a couple of layers to make it smaller.

Autumn

                           You know it's Fall when the spiders start building a lot of webs!!
 

And then the apples ripen

So I can make lots of apple pies.

Crystal Blue

 The name of this quilt is Crystal Blue. I finished it in August after having pieced it several years ago mainly because I began quilting it with a long arm but the back got all tangled and I had to take out all the stitches. Finally quilted it with my regular machine. The quilting is free motion feathers.
